Rosemary Joyce

Soprano

About Me

"A powerhouse soprano"

Rosemary Joyce, described as a passionate and provocative performer, is a Chicago native who has graced stages both across the United States and abroad. Most recently, she has been seen portraying the titular roles in both Puccini's Suor Angelica and Menotti's Maria Golovin. Rosemary is also an avid recitalist with a particular penchant performing German Romantic music and contemporary American works. For the 2024/2025 season, Rosemary is serving as a Holland Community Opera Fellow with Opera Omaha.

A recent graduate, she earned her master's degree in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University in 2022, where she studied under Dr. Loraine Sims. Rosemary also holds an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, which she earned in 2020. There, she was lucky enough to study under both Jane Giering DeHaan and Adriana Zabala.

During her offstage hours, Rosemary can be found with her nose stuck in a true crime book or battling with the Sunday crossword.
