About Me

"A powerhouse soprano"

Rosemary Joyce is a Chicago native who has graced stages both across the United States and abroad. Described as a passionate and provocative performer, she has portrayed the titular roles in both Puccini's Suor Angelica and Menotti's Maria Golovin. Rosemary is also an avid recitalist with a particular penchant for performing German Romantic music and contemporary American works. In the 2024/2025 season, she served as a Holland Community Opera Fellow with Opera Omaha; she continues to perform regularly with the company.

A recent graduate, she earned her master's degree in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University, where she studied under Dr. Loraine Sims. Rosemary also holds an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota. There, she was lucky enough to study under both Jane Giering DeHaan and Adriana Zabala.

During her offstage hours, Rosemary can be found with her nose stuck in a good book or battling with the Sunday crossword.
